Wherever my career has taken me, I have always tried to bring creativity and my skills with me, even to jobs that didn’t necessarily require it. When I worked at a daycare as an assistant teacher for young kids, I offered to make an emblem for them to be able to use in profile pictures, on posters or the bottom of emails, or any other way they desired. When I was a marketing assistant at K. Singh & Associates, Inc., most of what I did involved audits or updating project files and resumes for their engineers, but when I got an opportunity to design holiday cards and a career fair banner, I jumped at the opportunity. Even if these jobs weren’t meant to be heavily involved in design, I used it where I could, and these experiences have led me to greater opportunities.
